thank you for sharing this article with us! It is so good to hear about the kind of support that boy receive!! He is really lucky to get that in the right moment, because it was not too late. I am sure some people before him taste the disapointment to be refused by judges, but now, they will know people WANT to be treated the way they are! It does not mean if the boy wear long hairs, he is not presentable to people... If he is so good in Maths, it must be because he is serious in what he do. So, if he is serious, he must know how to "live" with other persons...
Again, thank you for sharing that with us, it is always good to see this kind of reaction to protect something without war and things like that!

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before here, but my daughters' karate class of about 20 students has two boys with long hair. One is a black boy who always wears his hair in a tight braid that goes down to between his shoulder blades. The other is a boy who appears to be American Indian, but I can't say for sure. His hair is always in a braid reaching his butt. Unfortunately, many (most?) people refer to him as "her" until corrected. I found myself automatically correcting the instructor (out of town instructor who did not know him) when he addressed him as "young lady". He, his mother, and I all corrected the instructor simultaneously. I suppose I should have stayed out of it. Part of what the kids are learning in that class is how to stand up for themselves. I'm considering approaching his mother about featuring him as a future Samson here.
Do! That would be really something. The only problem may be his age, and the related problems.
Right. That's the only reason I haven't proceeded with it yet. Actually, I really don't think this is a show stopper. Done right, this shouldn't be an issue at all.
I think it's a really bad idea to feature kids on the Samson page. It could be misinterpreted - or worse, it could attract paedophiles.
I think Smurf has something there, HHHH. I myself would love to see pictures of a boy with hair that long, since I could never have it like that at his age. But there is a real danger of paedophiles, and so, while not letting that get in the way of others legitimately enjoy his pictures, it should not leave room for the poor kid or his family to be harassed. I would say feature the guy. It will make a nice change from having old fogeys. but don't in any way leave any contact addresses that can expose the kid to danger.
