Manstyle/Market Square in nearby Portsmouth NH is your best bet.
Thanks for the recommendation. Portsmouth is a bit of a hike, but worth the trip--a cool place to hang. However, if anyone could recommend anything closer (say from Salem/Danvers up to Gloucester) it would help.
Manstyle/Market Square at 10 Congress Street (603 431-8925) in Portsmouth is definitely worth the trip, Arnold, when you realize the peace of mind that is yours when you trust your long hair to someone who genuinely listens to the wishes of the client. Yes, alternate suggestions may be made but ultimately the client gets exactly what he wants. Call ahead for an appointment or simply stop in (Tuesday through Friday) to check it out the next time you are "hangin" in Portsmouth.
Forgot to mention, Arnold, that although Manstyle/Market Square is open just four days a week, appointments are accepted from 8:30AM to 8:00PM anyof those days.
