Let me say now that I think this site is fantastic. I'm now working
on growing my hair to my shoulders and possibly beyond. However,
could you tell me why any of you have decided to grow your hair long?
I really don't know why I want long hair, but I do. Could you tell
me your reasons. Thank you!
Tony:
I guess the reason why I'm letting my hair get long again is because, quite frankly,I love having long hair. I like the look of it, the feel of the texture, and just basically knowing that I'm celebrating my God given right to express myself. When I began I too was just going to let it grow down to,or just past,my shoulders. But as time goes on,and reading stuff from my fellow longhaired brothers,I'm more inclined to let it grow to my waist. Welcome aboard,Tony.Let us know of your progress!
Hawkman
I suspect that long hair has some reason, it seems to cause higher
awareness and it seems to make one more 'tuned into' the local environment. Long hair makes a statement against the
ugly modern world and its military tyranny agaist the individual.
I chopped my hair once about 4 yrs. ago, caving into the incessant pressure that society put on a person. I listened to all the propaganda
about getting a better job, cleaning up and going up, etc... I felt like a
toad within two days on the deed and have resolved that I will live and die with long hair and that is it!
It is important that those with long hair help one another, there are not
enough of us; too many ass-holes with so called perfect lives, they have $42,000 cars and do everything like they are supposed to and
curry favor with the zombies who control the flow of wealth and status in our society....well, I think that inside they stink. When your soul is free, your mind is free, then long hair has to follow, it is a hapiness that
is worth more than material posessions.
I don't however want to say that one must be a "looser:" to have long hair; it seems that once you make a firm statement to the world that you will not be trampled on, it suddenly behaves itself. There is a period of adjustment with growing your hair where you have to change....it is a change for the better. I have been able to be successful in business and make a good living. Long hair helped me
be successful in life because I have been and am who I want to be and that seems to clear a lot of obstacles out of the way..
Persevere free man!
1) I wanted it long
2) I love the way it feels
3) I love the way it looks.
Do you have a picture?
Reasons are so obvious.
Long hair adds to sex appeal - INSTANTLY
Folks are drawn to it and fantisize about touching it, smelling it, etc.
I am so much more popular with long hair it blows me away
I have one reason, which is the most important to me: I like it long.. I dare to be different.. My hair is to my shoulder blades (I usually keep it in a ponytail) and I wear a variety of earrings in my left ear..
It's an instant attention getter..
Long hair gives a man that edge thing, kind of like a mixture of enigma and hostility at the same time because when I was just a kid, many bullies picked on me. When I decided to gain some weight, grow a light moustache, goatee, and let my hair grow, those same bullies left me alone. So I guess long hair does have its advantage depending on the look you are looking for.
