Does anyone know on this board if hair from the top of your ears down and relatively short in the front is considered a mullet? Thanks
-Steve
yes- also called a bi level. when the hair in front is short and in back is long.
I'll answer your question with one for you. Why are you worried about weather or not your(?) style is a mullet or not. My current style could only be considered the dreaded mullet, but I wear it with pride and get many good comments on it. The real question you need to ask yourself is do you like the style.
I can't figure out the seemingly widespread hatred of the mullet style, especially from other longhaired men. You'd think they would be the most open minded about hairstyles, but most seem to think if a guy is going to have his hair long, it MUST be all the same length and slicked back into a ponytail like we all must look the same. Didn't Hitler think everybody should look like him?
I started out going for the same length style, and actually got to the point where I could pull it all back into a ponytail, and I hated the look on me, and so did my wife. I just don't have the right shape face for that look. My brother-in-law wears it that way and it looks great on him, it's just not for me.
If you really think about it, when you slick all your hair back it looks short in front and long in back very similar to the mullet style, so what's the big deal.
I like my current style, when I wear it in a ponytail, it looks like a "normal" guys cut cause you can't see the tail. I love the second looks I get when people see the tail for the first time. And when I don't wear it in a tail, it fills in around my shoulders because it's fairly think and wavy, my wife says it looks like a lions mane.
So I like it, she likes it and I'm happy. Hope this helps.
actually... hitler thought everyone should be blond, blue-eyed and tall... which... he wasn't lol...
