I have been growing my hair since I was 12 and I am now 18, about a foot and a half of my hair drags on the ground. Usually I only put it in one style. My girlfriend puts it into one longbraid and ties it up in a bun. Occasionaly I go to the salon and get these really thick cornrows and braid the hair that is not in the cornrows or I will put my hair into three braids and then make one braid out of them. I need to know if any one has ideas for different hairdos.
i dunno about new styles, but if you have the ground lowered 1½ or 2 feet your hair will no longer drag on it
Growing to a height of about 8 feet would accomplish much the same objective, for a few years anyway.
yeah- true, but you'd have to buy all new clothes- i felt lowering the ground would be cheaper & everyone else on the planet would eventually adjust.
A suggestion: Go to the library and check out a copy of
"Thy Mystic Warriors of the Plains"
Native Americans of plains tribes often grew their hair as long as yours so it flowed behind them on horseback. There's a whole section on how they did their hair in the book. Might help.
Mounting a horse will also push the ground further away from your hair.
With my limited math skills, I computed: six years of hair growth at six inches per year equals 36 inches of length...I would then computate your height at about 18 inches if 18 inches of hair is "dragging on the ground. Far fetched?
I agree.

P.S. Unless...and in science we never say never .. you're an
exception, and have grown over 6 feet of hair in 6 years..
could be..

He's another one of these junk mail we get, which has'nt happened for awhile, another longhair down to the ground in 6 years, and won't give us a picture to proof.
Thanks

I saw you mentioned "thick cornrows" in your latest post. Maybe some stylists who read this message board can answer my question.
I have shoulder length, blond, *thick*, generally straight hair. I am interested in not cutting my hair - eventually I want small-of-the-back length, but for now I'm interested in doing something different, eye-catching. Is it possible for white kids with my hair type to get cornrows a la Latrell Spreewell? You know, those tiny, intricate designs.. How much would something like this cost?
Im pretty sure that white guys can have cornrows, the guy from N'SYNC had them
Normal hair grows at 6 inches per year. That is 36 inches (3 feet) in 6 years. You mean you're only 1.5 feet tall ??!!
My barber (a lady) says that eveyones hair grows at different speeds. She says my hair has grown nine inches in one year, that breaks down to 3/4 inch per month. She says one of her clients hair grows an inch per month, that is fastest that she has seen personally. Another of her clients has hair that only grows 3 inches a year. So according to her, the growth is between 1/4 and 1 inch per year.
It sure looks like a lot of hair in that picture.
Tom, you've got to stop standing on your head. It will eventually create a bald spot!
