I'm a teen who loves long hair on anyone but is still trying to achieve long haired status. After cutting my hair ridiculously short last November and realising how pathetic it was, I decided I wanted a change. Here I am 8 months later and I've adopted the nickname 'shaggy' off many people. However I like the attention so I'm not bothered about gentle ribbing.
One thing I do regret is having a maintainance cut at the back of my hair. I wasted a good couple of months by cutting about an inch off. I did this because it was so uneven but now I regret not perservering. Still, now I just have to wait for my fringe to catch up with the back of my head so I can try out a ponytail. It's going to take a while...
Just thought I share this so other people in my position won't bother with trimming potential long hair. It just prolongs the bad hair phase - which I think I'll be in for a long time yet.
