One year ago tomorrow was my last haircut...as an older, retired gentlemen who has wanted to grow his hair out, this "anniversary" is a milestone. Although I am still in the "bad hair phase"...I am still proud of my resolve to grow hair for a year without even a trim. I want to grow it at least two more years so I can gather it all into a ponytail. My "coffee-buddies" have quit the usual remarks several months ago and they know I have no intention of cutting my hair for a long time to come...I see more and more "older" guys growing their hair longer...a good feeling to have others my age doing the same. My resolve has been strengthened by the many positive posts on this message board...thanks for the inspiration!
hey all you guys,I'm here to tell you that the shorter
buzz cut you do the better! last year I shaved my head
to 1/4" long,(just to prove a point!) now over a year
later I still have a 1/4" buzz>
I will be the first to admit it is hard to take
the clippers to your hair but it is worth it!
Give it a try! you will love it.
Oh, how droll! A buzzcut boy posting how great shorthair is on a board devoted to Longhair. Gee, what a unique thing. Gosh, I don't think we have had such a posting in, oh, what? say a couple of weeks now?

Seriously though, shorthair is a great and wonderful thing and I am glad to see people comfortable with it. It is a perfectly suitable hairstyle for many individuals and I would encourage any individual who wanted to wear their hair short to do so.
For the rest of us however, shorthair is not where we are at. Longhair works for us and we are encouraging each other to wear it long and keep it long. This is a fine and wonderful thing too.
Now, with all this being said I think we can back to the Longhair business at hand...
