I am 14 years old and have had almost shoulder length hair for about a month. It is pretty much the same thing as Patrick Rafter's hair and I wear it 1/2 up and 1/2 down as Rafter does and I also play tennis. I just recently found this site. Though my ponytail is not that long, I like to braid it. Could I get extentions to make my hair longer, and if I got them would I have to dye my hair to make it all the same color, and would the new hair be noticably different than my hair?
rafter has great hair doesn't he?! i like that whole 1/2 up and 1/2 down look, although i guess i have never been bold enough to do so.
you could get extensions if you want. . .just be ready to pay for them. . .i had extensions once a loooooong time ago. . .matching the color to my hair was no problem. . .the only problem that kinda arose was getting the new hair to match the same texture as my hair. . .mine is kinda wavy. . .but with a slight perm in the new hair, it pretty much matched my own. . .extensions can be somewhat bothersome. . unless they have improved on how they are applied, you really have to watch out with conditioners because conditioners weaken the glue that holds extensions in place (at least they did when i got mine; there may now well be some "new and improved" something or other)
but i say, if you want them, get them. . .you never know until you go through it. . .and if you do, you will have at least learned something in the process. but BEFORE you do, visit a reputable salon FIRST and let them take you through a consultation. . .that way you can ask the stylist questions etc.
let us know what you do!
