Hey guys
I've been growing my hair out now for 3 months and I have a problem. I'm trying to grow it all one length, but the back is growing faster than the front. I feel like in a couple of month's I'll have a mullet. Please help!
Carlos
hold on!! dont cut that hair!! its not that the hair in back is growing faster, its just that the hair back there is farther down on your head...just keep growing your hair and dont cut any of it and it will all even out. a mullet means very short hair in the front, once it grows just a couple inches more in the front it will all look long. be patient.
He is right! Just let it grow, no cuts!
I had the same problem.
Don't be too quick to correct Carlos. Hair grows at different rates at different parts of the body. It also has different active growth periods on different parts of the body, and hence different terminal lengths. I have found that the male-pattern-baldness pattern applies not just to bald men but to longhaired men as well. For myself, hair at the very back of my head (not the nape of the neck, but higher than that) are the longest, at over a yard. Hair on the very top of my head is about 27 inches long.
I've noticed this too.
The hair at the front of my head, at the hairline, grows WAY slower than the hair in back. I've confirmed this with actual measurements over time.
At this point, it's just barely long enough to reach the pony tie, and hopefully it won't reach terminal length before getting substantially longer. It's a major annoyance.
