Hi everyone. I am trying to grow my hair out long because I think it will look better than with it short and I want to change my image. I want to grow it out to make it look like Tom Cruises style in Mission Impossible 2. I usually have my hair about an inch or two on top and the rest buzzed at a 2, so its going to be quite a change. Can anyone offer me any tips on things I can do to grow it out faster, or at least things NOT to do, that inhibit hair growth? Does anyone else like that style? I'm just curious what you think. I have fine hair and would like to thicken it up also. How often should I get a trim and how long do you think it will take me? Right now I have about 5 inches on top and about 3 inches around the sides. If any of you have any advice on how to help me or keep me patient I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The first thing is to not cut it at all! Let it grow
no matter what. Not many things can speed up the long
hair process, I heard it depends on the season. But
you have hair like Tom's in about 5-6 months or more.
Good Luck, hope this helps!
Hi Hair Guy. Thanks for the estimate. So I really shouldn't cut it at all? Are there any products I should stay away from? I have never had split ends so my actual hair is healthy but now that its getting longer I have noticed more of it falling out, is that just cause I have longer hair? Can you tell me stuff I should keep away from? You seem to post alot so I'm sure you have some ideas. Thanks again.
Glad to help, one good thing to use the growing process is
conditioner, try massaging your scalp, getting small cuts
are not wise, but only do them if they are 100% necessary.
In the meantime, you can invest in a hat or even a bandana till
the hair is at your requested length. That is your choice. Maybe
stay away from harsh shampoos that can damaged your hair, and
blowdrying your hair is not a good idea.
Not much more than that, good luck!
