I've added a new feature to the board. On individual messages, there will be Previous and Next links. You can use these to navigate to the previous and next messages posted. Note that this does not go to the next item in the thread, but the next item that was actually posted.
I should have also mentioned that if a message is deleted, or the sequence number is reset for some reason, the link will not work. It's not perfect, but it should speed navigation for those who prefer to read posts in sequential order.
Try clicking "next" on Victor's followup message in this thread. It takes you to a 'reply' about Hair Extensions from a message that was originally posted in April of 1997... something's not right?
And the reply "Re: Hair Extensions" dated August 23rd of this year does not appear on the current list of hyperboard threads.

Read very carefully:

You ARE on the reply!
This is a sort of innocuous bug in the system. What happened is that someone posted a reply to a message in the archive. The message number used was one that was previously used by a message I purged.
I haven't bothered to do anything about people replying to archived messages, but I may put this on my to-do list.

But I thought that I can't post replies to archives. Nothing happens.
Correction: It does gets "posted" (assigned a message number), but it doesn't show-up in the current list of hyperboard threads.
