I have had long hair for 8 years. I am considering cutting it short but, I am not sure if I will miss having long hair. What should I do?
That's a really long time to have long hair. I've had my hair long and short off and on since I was 16, now I'm 33. What happens to me is that after about three years of growing it long I get bored with it and decide to cut it short. When it's short, after a while I get bored with it being short all the time, so I grow it long. The general rule to follow if you want to cut your hair, is to wait two weeks after your initial thought about cutting your hair. If after two weeks you feel the same way and want to cut your hair, then cut it. Following this rule will keep you from doing something you might regret later.
Don't do it man! I just did it last month and it ruin my
life, pretty bad eh?
If you get it cut, keep it long, but you don't have to get it buzzed
off completly.
Do what you think is right for you, but take my advice,
you will regret it if you are not sure.
I appreciate the great advice. I am not going to cut it!
I like your decision not to cut it. Ever I had cut my hair I had the wish to regrow it, sometimes I let it grow 5 years between cuts, but I never liked it short (now I am 47).
Currently I let my hair grow. With new experiences in hair care it makes pleasure to manage it. I regret it that it isn't longer (now about 20 cm), but I am also happy how it is.
