Haven't been here in a while; I kind of miss it. Anyways, my hair has been saved by this community twice. I'am not going to cut it, but it's crossed mind several times a day and I can't focus on anything. Maybe it's my conditioner, I thought. I use the whole set of Garnier Fructis Sleek and Smooth or something. I've been using it since I've growing out my hair. I think my hair has grown an immunity to it, really. And the scent is tiresome and is beginning to stink to me. So I am going to try frizz ease by John Frieda. Anybody try this yet? I heard silicones were bad, are they?
I don't know what I'am doing wrong. I don't use straightening irons or blow dryers EVER, only use a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair when it is wet, and no towel rubbing. Man, the only things I'am not doing is either Jojoba oil or maintainence cuts.. need help, damage is apparent. Thx people. sorry for the long post.
Hi, I've been using John Freida's Frizz-ease products for about two years now with no adverse effects. I always use his conditioner, sometimes the shampoo, but I don't like the leave-in conditioner, it seems too thin and watery for me. I also haven't tried the serum. The conditioner is a must have for me though, that or Infusium 23.
Some people have problems with cones building up in their hair, I do not, so I can't really comment on that. Good Luck!
Hi Ein,
when my hair gets too frizzy or unmanageable, I find any product containing mostly dimethicone + cyclomethicone (including "Frizz-Ease") very helpful. It does not do any damage to my hair, even when I use it kind-of liberally after towel-drying my hair. Hair gets a lot more easy to comb through, and split ends seem to stop travelling up my hairs. Also, my hair seems to get straighter when I use this stuff.
I'm aware that several board members have reported problems with these products, but I didn't experience any. So, rather than cutting your hair (even if it's a "maintenance cut"), I'd certainly suggest you try these. Probably small quantities distributed evenly will do the trick. With silicones, your hair takes a bit longer to dry, however.
Good luck, and keep the mane!
