when i wash my hair, i end up with nice loose curls (as in my pic here) which last until the next morning at which point my hair has either ended up relatively straight (if i'm lucky) or more typically a wavy, flippy, unruly mess which only can be remedied with a straightening iron.
sometimes i'd just like to keep the curly look. anybody have any ideas how to do that, short of using a curling iron?
I know what you mean. Sometimes i wake up and my hair looks like this massive afro. No length at the back, just up in the air, i hate it. Actually , i have noticed that since i have been wearing a side-part that my hair is "good to go" when i wake up. I did this for two days and my hair was still neat and tidy.
Maybe you should rinse your hair in cool water when you wake up, while you wash your face, just to re-style it and regain the curls. Sometimes simply rinsing my hair with water is the most effective styling device for me.
Whats wrong with a curling iron? Too bad you dont know how to set your hair with rollers. As a young boy, my mom gave me home permanents and set my hair with pins/clips and rollers. With longer hair, you just need to use the tools made for it.
