hey all!!!
this is the deal.....my hair, especially at the back has gotten really dry/rough and tangles all the time even straight after vrushing it. my mum says theres a couple split ends there too.
pretty much should i get the damaged ends cut? or should i wait till it grows longer? would leaving the badly damaged hair and split ends caus any trouble i n the long run? for example haveing to start growing all over again? (at the back there damaged halfway down in some cases....and im only at 6 months of growth)
Find a good hairdresser, and ask for a "dusting". Or just ask for 1/4th of an inch taken off, at most. I've found that my hair became much less prone to tangling after being trimmed.
ahh k thanks
How in the World did you manage to get split-ends at only 6 months growth?! It almost seems like you would have to TRY to get something like that! To be honest man, I doubt you have split ends, and it's possible that you are over-reacting to your hair (a frequent occurence amongst short-hairs going long). You just gotta let it grow. The more trims you get the longer it'll be til you got long hair... I didn't get my first trim until 2.5 years of growth.

yea i think ur right
yeah, i doubt you have split ends this early into it. its more than likely just dry ends. how often do you use shampoo? and do you use any kind of oil in the ends to keep it moisturized?
no oils.......i shampoo prolly every 2nd-3rd day (whenever it gets gross) thats with conditioner BTW :)
I had the same problem (Iam entering my 6th month on Feb 5th). My ends looked really frizzy and dry. I was really worried about it because this is my first time growing. But i realized that iam just paranoid about it. It just happens when your hair grows long. so hang in there and keep growing. if it gets really unmanagable then do some "dusting" as foppy suggested.
Cheers!
ps: what conditioner do you use? try using garnier fructis (that helps a lot). try to use some kind of oil on your hair to keep the ends moisturized. And try to avoid washing your hair too often (2 times a week shuld be fine).
