My hair is visible thinner at my left temple than it is at my right temple. Is this male pattern boldness or some other medical reason? I'm pretty worried about it, and i cant stop thinking about it.
All help and replies are greatly appreciated.

Well, my hair is thinner at the right temple than the left. I have no idea why. In my case it is partially attributable to MPB, but I too would like to know why it's uneven. I haven't worried too much about it though.
How old are you? That is the key. If you are a teenager, I'd check further into it with perhaps a physician. If you are over 30, then it's probably associated with MPB. Either way, that probably is not what you wanted to hear.
Im 17, so im not sure if it would be mpb, should i see a doctor anyway?
I would also add that not all hairlines are perfectly symmetrical on the back or front.
I used to part my hair on the right always and maybe that is part of it.
If you're 17, then is this something that has just started or has been this way for a while?
And too, at 17 your body is finishing up it's transformation from boy to man. Some change in the hairline around the forehead is usually common, but not in the case of everyone.
Whether or not to see a doctor, well, that is up to you and how much and how severe you percieve the issue to be. Doctor's visits are not free, but peace of mind is invaluable.
Hope that helps.
Thankyou, i used to part my hair on the left before i cut it short so maybe that is it. And i noticed that on the crown of my head which i think is the swirly area at the top back the roots sometimes hurt when i push down on the hair or move it. Also i live in the uk so a doctors visit will be free.
Thanks for the replys.
do you sleep on your right side? if you toss and turn at night some hair might be getting pulled out.... not too significant but it's still a possibility
err i meant your left

My hair grows unevenly too. My hair is 2 or 3 inches longer on the right side. (it may be a bit hard to see due to the small photo.)

Could it be that this is the side you always sleep on? My left side has always been a bit thinner............but it hasn't fallen out yet. And THAT is the usual side I sleep on!
Hope this is the case with you so that you can relax and not worry.
Hi Rellow,
I also had male pattern baldness (a little) and now I take finasterid 1mg each day (+multivitamins), since oct.05. Now I loose less hair and I also have regrowth with more thick hair.
