Hi. I'm trying to get my grey hair to grow back to my original color. I've done this before, but I lost the key elements to do this with. I eat plenty meat, do NOT eat microwaved foods and stay away from CRT Televisions and computer monitors (LCD and plasma is good), take a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement, run daily, eat veggies/fruits and drink plenty of dairy. I've just been on this regimen for over 2 months now. I see smashing results in that my hair is growing out SO shiny, but I still have grey roots and I am bound and determined to beat this. DON'T MESS WITH MY HAIR, GOD!
So if you fit in this category, then what is YOUR diet and lifestyle? Please tell us? Thanks in advance.
Interesting indeed. It sounds like you are a very dedicated to your hair and live a very clean life. However i am abit skeptical about your claims. I was under the impression that aging elements such as MPB and "grey hair" were entirely hereditary and that it could not be solved by diet, exercise, and so on. Then again, i am no expert on these issues but i wouldn't mind a bit of enlightment.
I just had to get some info from the man side of the equation but I meant what I said about the amount of radiation (Tvs, microwaves, etc.) in our lives that directly affect if our hair is changing color, turning brittle like straw or even falling out. Google on the above and all you get is the connection between radiation and cancer and the effects on hair. That's pretty telling in my book. Thanks guys.

As a blonde (originally "honey-colored" blonde, that included a hint of red highlights), I have DEFINITELY found Ponce de Leon's "fountain of youth" recipe for eternal blondeness...
For someone like me, who is getting increasing amounts of white hairs (being mistaken for "platinum blonde" from a distance), I really & truly have found a way to stay forever blonde (WITHOUT bleaching or coloring it). Here it is, guys, my amazing, awesome secrets:
#1 - Only step outside to be seen in public by others between the hours of shortly after dawn, to approximately 9AM.
#2 - Ditto for being OK to step outside from approx. 5PM, to shotly before sunset.
#3 - The above two secrets only work on sunny days (do not, I repeat, do NOT step outside on cloudy days)!
#4 - It is OK to walk around with a yellow-orange lightbulb perpetually over your head (if you can find one that is portable... and won't get too hot)
#5 - Avoid at all cost florescent lighting, --- it really brings out the white hairs!!
#6 - Take lots of pics of yourself around sunrise and/or sunset time. Wear hats to work and to parties; but bring these pics along to prove you are still 100% blonde.
#7 - Eat whatever you want. And take it from me: I am now not only "forever blonde"; whenever I show my pic to people who haven't seen me in a long time, and they ask, "have you gained weight?", I tell them, "Why, yes, --- and my doctor says I've done a BEAUTIFUL job of overcoming my Anorexia!"

Hahahaha Interesting answers :-) Ken
Eating plenty of meat may not be beneficial.....its reccomended that you should have only 3 servings of red meat a wheek!!!!!
(Although im a Vego....but thats another story ;) )
Hmm, well I'm almost 43. I have a few platinum hairs, but you have to be close to notice them.
I haven't noticed my diet having any effect on my hair color, but I am a carnivore. Probably 50% of my diet.
As for low level radiation effecting your hair, I don't buy it. I've spent my career simultaneously working with multiple large screen monitors (20+ inches) in various communications fields (i.e. workng around high power radio transmitters).
I've also eaten tons of microwaved food, and for what it's worth, microwaves have zero residual effect on the food.
The one thing I have noticed effecting my hair is stress. Reduce stress and you reduce the grey and vice versa.
