hi everyone.I have a problem concerning long hair.I wish to make it into a ponytail. How shoulD I do it? are there many styles in ponytailing your hair? for the band to secure it what should I use?
Thanks very much for the advice.
Richard
The best type of band depends on the length and thickness of your hair. Avoid tight, thin elastics unless your ponytail is still just a short one since the thin elastics can definitely damage the hair. Use the largest band that will not slide down when looped over once.
Hi Richard! Pete is totally right: don't ever use rubber bands in your hair, it'll damage it. I use ribbons because they can't get tangled. Forget silly bows, I rarely tied my hair but when I do (major wind attacks!) I do it not too close to the head (pulling on your hair isn't a good idea either), and the ribbon crosses on the hair all the way down where I tie it, much in the same way the greeks wore their shoes with the string going up the leg. I found that this way keeps single hairs from coming out.
