i am 20 with no pretty much no baldness on either side of my family for at least 2 generations. my dad has receded a bit at the temples but not much for his mid 40s. otherwise that's it. i'm healthy and not badly stressed.
but within the last 8 months this thinning at the temples has started to happen to me though. i guess i'm fine with it if that's all that's going to happen - some people here mention that your hairline rehapes itself. but if it's the start of baldness it seems weird at my age with my family history.
i have straight hair but pretty brittle straight hair... not curly more so dry and a bit frizzy. however at the front it has always been worse. however now it seems to have completely thinned out with some sort of weird broken hairs growing there. as you can see in the unglamourous photo, it now seems to be thinning / retreating at bit at the very front too.
so is it true that baldness is only inherited or through some sort of illness or high amount of stress (to you or your hair)?
in that case this shouldn't be happening to me should it? let alone within the last year at the most.
any advice or information is really appreciated
thanks,

Same exact problem im having, with the same story behind it...no baldness in my family, father at 55 still no hair loss only very little regressing hair. I have the exact same hair as you and the exact same problem.
hmm hopefully someone has some information that could help both of us.
just looking at the photo though, that's me combing my hair and pulling it taut. it's barely noticable (now) and even with my hair combed back and sitting normal you can't really notice.
Well balding is becoming a lesser problem as time goes by..they have hair transplants that last for life(which not everyone knows about). although they may be a little expensive within a couple years maybe even 2-4, they will be affordable and the best thing one can do about baldness. Ive just barely started researching about it and am finding nothing more than good news on it. You should search on this too and give it a thaught like i am(after trying many products that failed and doing everything i could)
Good Luck man!
