hello all,
i noticed that since some weeks/few months some ends of my hair looks like straw (well i think that is the reason from 'dry hair') ...
interesting thing is that my scalp gets very fast greasy and so i wonder that the ends are try ?!
nevertheless,
i currently use a shampoo for thin hair (pantene pro-v) and a "wash-out" conditioner (add conditioner into wet hair, wait 2-3 mins and then wash it out) ...
i thought that these conditioner should prevent my hair from dryness especially cos i am putting the shampoo only on the scalp and the conditioner only in the lengths ...
i have read here that some people here use a "leave-in" conditioner and other ones use jojoba (or another kind of oil) ?
are these things better protecting hair against dryness ?
whats the advantage of a "leave-in" to a "wash-out" conditioner ?
greez & thx in advance,
ALH
First off I would make sure that you use a good conditioner everytime you shampoo your hair.
Preferably even one that is specialised towards "dry and/or damaged" hair.
I would also get a deep conditioning conditioner that is designed to be used once a week.
(I use "Dove: Intensive Conditioning Mask")
Finally, I would get a jojoba/coconut etc. oil, that you can massage into the ends of your hair after your shower/bath, when your hair is still damp.
There are also 'leave-in' treatments that you can buy (I would buy these products only from a salon though) that you can put in your hair after washing it. Some are made to leave in for 5-10 minutes. Others for hours, or even the whole day.
See what works best for you. And Good Luck!
I personally have very dry hair ends which I could do nothing about no matter how much I tried...conditioner, shampoo, etc. But recently about 2 weeks ago i got myself a Leave-In Conditioner and i use it after i take a shower(while it's "Semi-Dry") and i just put very little on my entire hair...after about only 1 hour until even a day or two later it makes my hair:
-untangable
-much straighter
-much softer
So I say give a Leave-In Conditioner a try they work great!
(try to experiment with different kinds, one can work better than a nother)
