  My hair is extremely thick and extremely curly .. its almost like an afro .. i usually wear a hat all of the time to hold it down and on the sides it fro's up so bad people say i look like bozo the clown .. its approximately 4 inches long .. and i play guitar in a band... so i want the long rock start hair not an afro so please give me some help

    4 inches is simply not enough length yet to do much. As it gets longer gravity will weight it down so your hair will grow down and not up, like an afro. Alot of newbies ask the same question all the time and that is the simple answer.
    Who says rock stars don't have afros. The front man in Wolfmother has the mightest afro ever!
