Hi all,
I just have a quick query that I would like to clarify with those in the know.
Basically, my first hair growing experience (2002-2004) ended with me having my hair cut to ALL one length.
What resulted is that my hair ended up in a 'bob-style' which was less than flattering to say the least.
Now I am 13 months into growing again, I've noticed that the bangs hang down naturally higher than the hair growing at the back of the head, (pretty understandable really) and this seems to look FAR better.
I am not planning on any trims for the forseeable future, I hasten to add. I am leaving it as long as I can. But if the time comes where I feel that a trim is required, I would rather keep the bangs slightly shorter than the rest of the hair in order to keep this shape (and avoid the bob look.)
Has anyone opted to have their like this? Obviously if you have had no trims, this is how the hair will naturally look anyway. But I wasn't sure whether hair being all one length is best avoided (unless it's halfway down your back or something.)
Many thanks.
Well what you have right now is hair that is all one length. Your hair line at the front of your head is higher than your back. so 6 inches of hair at the front of your head wont come doen as far as 6 inches of hair at the back fo your head.
A bob cut would have shorter hair at the bottom of the back of your head (2-3 inches) with longer hair at the front (6 inches) this way it apears all your hair is the same length. But its just an illusion. So basicly a bob involes having layers.
Hi Luke,
This probably wasn't the counsel you were looking for but I would encourage you to not cut your bangs. Bangs remain for sometime the hardest part of your hair to keep in a secure tie. Of course, I'm personally biased because I prefer the all-one-length look rather than the 'natural' grow in look.
