Will hair be curlier or less curlier when you don't brush it?
Less curly if you brush it, but a hell of a lot frizzier. I used to brush my hair and I ended up with some bizarre crescent moon-shaped clown afro. So, not advised.
The ideal thing is to use your fingers to "finger-comb" your hair, but a wide-toothed comb is a great alternative. Brush very gently and slowly, and it's best to do so when your hair is wet or fairly damp. If your hair's dry, it'll just get frizzier when you comb it. Keep in mind that hair is most fragile when wet, so be very gentle when combing.
If your curly hair is short, law and order shouldn't be enforced on your hair, so to speak. Slick it back or wear a cap or just wear your fro until you get some length and your hair can really be combed. As long as your hair's growing up instead of down, you're fighting a losing battle trying to brush it neat.
It depends on how curly your hair is, how you brush it, whether it's wet or dry when you brush it, etc.
If your hair is straight, you can give it a bit of curl by brushing it right.
If your hair is curly and you brush it normally, it will probably straighten out some.
If it's only a little curly (like mine) and forms little ringlets if allowed to dry naturally, then it will form waves when brushed, like in my photo.
If it's REALLY curly, then I'm not sure what happens, probably varies from person to person.
If you brush your hair when it's wet and allow it to dry, then it will probably dry in it's natural state (whether that is curly or not).
