i had acheived my hair all of length but then i trimed it sort of like a bob. it diddent get very tangly.but i got sick of the bushy bottom so i got my hair layered so it looked natural.
(the way it looks when you havnt had a trim since you started growing. longer back)
my hair seems like it gets tangly more since its layered. do layers tend to do this?
I myself do not know why this would account for sudden tangles, but then I have NEVER had my hair layered as a Longhair. "If" it suddenly happened to you worse "after" getting it layered most likely somehow this is what caused it to happen. Otherwise I would be very suspicious of "Split-ends" being the villian here.
I have NEVER YET heard a complaint from one guy on the Hyperboard who just let his hair grow naturally into a longhair with the exception of Split-end problems being addressed. But..........those that "trim," "Prune," "Layer" and "even-out" seem to be the ones most unhappy.
With luck, someone else will post that has more knowledge than do I about "Layering Long Hair."
im growing my hair out from a short harcut so its layered on the sides and back.........my hair tangles easily and it also feels rough because your hand goes over all the hair ends if you stroke it. haveing layeres hair also makes your hair curl and gives you more flipups because there is less other hairs holding the ends down. of course this is just my personal experience
