Hello, fellow longhairs. I thought I'd just drop by for a few (long) moments and say "hello."
"Hello." :-P
I've been away from the Hyperboard for a few months (particularly after I stopped moderating, but I was out of the game long, long before then). A lot has changed in my life since the last time I seriously visited here and posted huge piles of text. I was made an uncle last December, and I have two more nieces/nephews on the way at the moment. I'm almost halfway done with my undergraduate work at university, and getting a bachelor's degree in music theory and classical composition is extremely difficult for me, at the moment. School has played a major role in my not being active at the Hyperboard, but it's also been a year of personal struggles.
My hair is still long; I haven't cut it, but I'm getting a slight trim tomorrow (it's been a few months since the last time I had it snipped at the ends). I really can't [comfortably] imagine having it short--it's amazing I almost considered cutting it a while back. I'm glad I didn't, and I have the Hyperboard members to thank for that.
Having been a lurker for many months now, I figure I might want to reassimilate myself back into the community.
For what it's worth, here's a pic of
...my hair length, taken ten minutes ago!
Gah!
Thyank you for the picture.I have to say your hair is beautiful! Good luck in school and DON"T cut your hair short.
Wow! that is simply amazing hair. The length and thickness of it is really nice. Your mane is so thick and volimunous that it looks like you a wearing a dark t-shirt, when infact that is your awesome long mane and your shirtless!
How many years did it take you to get to waist length?
Drop by more often dude, you are definately an inspiration for us all. Good luck with the trim, remember only 1/2 an inch is needed to remedy split-ends. All the best.
Michael, your hair looks fantastic. You mention desiring a slight trim. Be sure to find someone you can trust who is up to the task. If you are just trying to treat split ends, you may want to trim them yourself, snipping 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. This "search and destroy" mission to remove split ends can be done while relaxing in front of the TV. If you have difficulty seeing up close, a magnifying glass can be helpful. It is amazing that only 100 split ends mixed in with many thousands of other hairs can cause a lot of tangling. Removal of just those 100 split ends can make a world of difference.

My mother trims it for me, and has been doing so for about five or six years. :-)
You're lucky that you can trust your mother!
Good to hear from you, and hope all goes well for you.
So beautiful.... must resist temptation....
Fantasic Mate GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK HERE ! To Micheal
The epitome of waist-length awesomeness. Your hair has that rockstar/lover look to it, a simultaneous badassness and softness all at once. That's sweet. Girls must LOVE your hair.
Keep doing what you're doing, because apparently it works extremely well.
Be very careful. I hope whoever gives you a trim can be trusted to do the right thing because you're hair is wonderful. Don't ever have it short; long looks great on you. Take good care of it, man.

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for still having long hair.
You are one of my "hair gods".
Hi Michael,
Good to see you back. Nothing like school to sort of take us to our limits. True for me. Hope this semester is a little lighter for you.
Robert
Good to hear that all is well, Michael. Congrats on being an uncle and your education. I'm a junior in college also. Take care.

Well, I'm glad you decided to check back in. Your hair is looking fantastic, and hope school will treat you right.
I always remember when I first started visiting this board, you were one of the first ones I remember.
See ya later, Bragi
Man, what inspirational hair! Good luck with your continued studies, classical composition sounds very rewarding but difficult. Maybe one day we'll see a famous longhair conductor, that would be cool!
As another poster said, you are one of the hair gods at this site.

I must say... Great hair!! Keep it growing :).
Wishing you all the best in your remaining stint @ Uni. I'm in a similar situation of a heavy in-term workload, and only have the time and mental energy to "lurk".
Take care and enjoy your future hair growths.
Jin.
Good to hear from you Michael!
Welcome back!
