new thread
well, yesterday marked 6 months progress. all is good so far. my hair seems to be in very good condition right now. i guess im one of the lucky ones who has found a hair care routine that works for them. i plan on sticking to it as long as it gives me good results. so basically yesterday marked 1/6 of my eventual goal. i am guessing that midback will take around 3 years. im not quite sure though. are there any people here who have hair that grows about average to a little above average speed who have grown midback length hair? if so how long did it take? of course i have to consider the wave of my hair. that will take away a bit of visible length.
Man,your coming along splendidly, love the curls and your hair looks so healthy! Definitely keep up with your routine, how often do you shampoo and conditioner anyway?
i condition every day, but i only shampoo 2 to 3 times a week. i also use a bit of baby oil in the very ends of my hair after i get out of the shower. i use my wide tooth comb and let it air dry. no blowdryers, no straighteners, or any of that junk. =)
your hair is looking great by the way. i wish i would have started with a bit more length like you did. keep it up man.
I'm going to try shampooing maybe every other day. Any more it doesn't look so good. I want to get mine to look that healthy and shiny.
wow, thanks a lot man. =) im telling you, if you can get by with shampooing every other day it would really do a lot as far as keeping your hair shiny and looking super healthy. if i used shampoo every day my hair would look like crap.=P
Great hair looks good. the 3rd picture is actually really good because of the way you have the split at the fringe. keep going it will look gr8.
When I saw that first picture, 'Ancient Greek Olympic discus-thrower' came to mind! That's a compliment, jus' so ya know.
There is some foreshadowing of the great long hair to come as well in your pictures with the portrait of yourself in the background.
All in all, your hair is making great progress, the beard is nice too.

Very shiny and well looked after hair. Keep that up and you will enjoy the benefits as it gets longer and not have to worry about split ends, tangles etc as you are taking good care of it and avoiding neglect.
The side part is working well, a nice messy kinda typical dude haircut. I wish i could grow some awesome facial hair like yours :( hehe. Keep it up SOAD, you will have mid-back hair in a flash!
