Today at work a cashier said that a customer asked who the clerk was today. She didn't know my name but told the guy "it's the one who always has the earphones on and longhair". Now I dont think my hair is that long so I took that as a major compliment. I do have longer hair than any guy at work. She also said she was surprised that that hadn't made me cut it. If they try to I will quit of course or press charges of discrimination. But all that aside it was nice to be refered to as the "guy with the long hair". It made my day. ^.^
Lets hope one day that discrimination with men with longhair will also end just like slavery did and other stuff.
hehe thats cool
well im still "the guy thats TRYING to grow his hair long"
lol
That's good to hear. Compliments are the best things when you are growing your hair out because it reaffirms that you have great looking hair and allows you to get acknowledgement and recognition by others. I got another compliment today by a friend i hadn't seen for many months. "You look better with long hair", nice compliment and it is very true.
I also have the longest hair at my work place, it is kinda sad seeing all the other guys with their short, conservative styles. The only guys i know of with long hair are real men who listen to rock music and heavy metal and don't care about trends or societies contradicting double standards.
Why should it be sad seeing guys with short hair? If that's what they're happy with, more power to them.
Real men?? Having long hair, listening to rock or heavy metal, none of these define "real men". I've known plenty of complete losers who fit into any or all of your categories, and I've known plenty I would think of as "real men" who don't. As has often been said on this board before, categorizing and stereotyping people is a dead-end game. Your quality as a person is defined by your actions and the way you treat those around you, not the length of your hair or your tastes in music.

Ahh, very true. Sorry, please excuse my unintelligent blabber. I shouldn't sterostype or pre-judge others. I have to learn to stop doing this. Thanks.
Thats great Katamah! I also love to hear references to my long hair, a totally new characteristic for me, and one we all chose. Gives me a lift. It'll even be better when a longhair says we have long hair!
