Since I grew my hair long, the pain of trying to vaccum the hair off the carpet has gotten to be to much.
There any good tricks to this?
I tried using a broom, but that didnt work.
The vaccum just seems to get some of it, but not all, and then most winds up wrapped around the brush, and then I have to try and cut that off.
there seems to be a few people who are having problems with hair in the vaccum cleaner.
maybe they could try using a shop vac
as they are made for picking up stuff that jams a regular
vaccum cleaner
Enquire into a profesional, heavy duty vacuum cleaner. Sounds like the conventional househould vacuum cleaner just doesn't cut it in your situation. This topic was actually talked about recently. If you scroll down the page a bit you should find it. Alternatively, you could do a search in the archives which is found in the box at the top of the main page. All the best JD.
Shop Vac is the only way to go with hair. Works for me at least.
By accident I found a pair of boots with tiny rubber spikes on the bottom makes the carpet hair collect and ball up to toss in the trash. After a while I noticed even regular shoes will do this too if I drag my foot. I also know another longhair that brushes the carpet with a spare hairbrush in those areas where a lot of hair is shed.
