Upon closer inspection of my hairline, I felt tiny hairs.. almost like those of a buzz cut. So I might not be losing my hair, but my hair is definitely a lot weaker in that area. Is there anyway I can improve the condition of that hair? There are obviously some roots there, so it has to be somewhat salvageable. I'd estimate that the hair covers 3/4 of an inch from my hairline along my temples.
As far as my diet is concerned.. well, I could probably eat a little more.. I have a habit of missing meals lately. Especially breakfast. But when I do eat, I usually eat rather healthy. I don't take any supplemental vitamins.. should I seriously consider it now?
Thanks for all your help and support, guys.
Befoe I stumbled across this board I was just a dumb kid
with long hair with no idea of why or how to take care
of my hair properly. Anyways, I look forward to your
input on my current situation! :)
I've seen your pics and apart from having great hair it really isn't that noticeable or conspicuous. You really can't do much about this anyway. I was really worried about the back of my head for so many months cause the hair looked dry and brittle looking. I thought it was split ends and cut them and it still didn't go away. I found out the problem was just sun burnt hair basically. I thought the damage was really huge and noticeable but when i posted them up everyone said it looked very minor and stuff and "it's not that bad".
In summary, i'm just saying that sometimes we blow up things to massive proportions when in reality they are only miniscule things. That's why its always wise to get advice/opinion from other people before worrying too much or dong anything drastic.

I have the same thing. I try not to worry about it. Im hoping its just the standard male hairline.
It's a good idea for everyone to take a multivitamin supplement. You can try finding an all-natural whole food-sourced kind, like this one: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp;jsessionid=OFXDPN0HEOOLSCQUC4YFAFYKCQL00UNE?id=NT-1887&source=FGNT1887&_requestid=268729
They're a little expensive, but it's a 3-month supply.
You might also want to try Jason® Thin-to-Thick shampoo and conditioner. I've been using just the shampoo with my old conditioner, and my hair already has a little more volume to it.
.
That's not expensive for me, if it'll last me three months. :)
And I'll definitely be looking into that shampoo and conditioner.
Thanks!
The hair looks great and stop worrying. As you can see you get alot of positive advice here.

Yeah.. EVERYBODY tells me I worry about my hair too much. And it's so damn true. I've got about a million different combs and brushes scattered around in all sorts of nooks and crannies, so practically wherever I am, I've got a comb or brush to use! And I use people as mirrors, sometimes, asking them if my hair looks okay.. they always say yes, which actually bugs me more than if they said no. I'm obsessive over my hair sometimes. Anywho, thanks for all the compliments, but I'm still going to look into taking some vitamins and fixing up my diet a bit. It couldn't hurt to just try. My hair is good. But I want it to be great. And that's my true weakness. I always want it to look great and it always just looks "good" to me. But remember, I do fuss over it a lot.. so that's just me.
Not to say that this is the case with your hair, but miniaturized follicules (thinner, shorter hairs) area sign of male pattern baldness. It's possible that it's just a few vellous hairs along the hairline, which is natural, but it could also be the first signs of some thinning.
If you're still worried about, see a dermatologist about the possibility of thinning hair. I dbout you have anything to worry about, but it's always better to be safe. I know that I wish I would have found a good dermatologist when I first started noticing recession and thinning.
Usually the medications available for baldness are much better for keeping what hair someone has than to re-grow lost hair, which means it's usually most successful when someone catches thinning early.
That said, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about!
