well to start of..i tryied doind the disc clean up...and it never advance more than 2squares...so i cancel it..ever since then...the task manager wont respond...i press ALT=CTRL-Delete and nothing happens..so i went around forums online and tried i everythin iread i could find..but notinng work..so i try putttin my comp. on safe mode and deleting all my Temp. and Temporary internet files and nothing...so those any one have another alternative before ii go pay someguy to fix it.??if you let me know

Well, if nothing works, I suggest you backup any files you want to keep in a CD/DVD, and proceed to format your hard drive. Then it´s just a matter of reinstalling your OS along with the programs you had, and configuring drivers if need be.
I always find a program called Easy Cleaner does a good job of cleaning up and the garbage that accumulates. You can get it at:

1. Go to 'my computer'. Right click on your c: drive and select properties. Then uncheck the "Allow indexing services to index this disk" checkbox if it is selected. So this for any other partitions you might have. (indexing keeps a index of all ur files(think about indexes in a library)in memory, so searching runs faster. But search will run neverthless, so u wont miss anything.Instead u can clear some memory)
2. go to desktop, right click on the desktop and select properties. go to screensaver->power->hibernate tab. If hibernate option is checked, then uncheck it. (hibernating is not needed)
3. Now restart your computer.
Now ur pc shuld run noticebly faster. Now try defragmenting ur hdd. go to start->all programs->accesories->system tools->disk defragmenter and do defragment all ur partitions. THat will speed up ur applications.
Then try running disk cleanup and cleanup ur temp files and unnecessery fles.
I also recommend getting some spyware removal tools like adaware(free!) and pestpatrol and run a search along with virus scan.

There is program called Advance Windows care and it is free. It scans the computer and lists all problems it finds and then it gives you some options and one is to fix these problems. I have used this program and found it useful.
