Anyone here know anything about tie dying? I just ordered a tie dye kit on ebay because there are no tie dye t shirts in Taiwan and I dont feel like having to order a shirt from the USA, it gets expensive. I can just get a white T shirt here and dye them or something. Is it easy to do or is it easy to mess up on them?

^^^^^^ Hi Tai Fu, the above website has all the supplies you would ever need to do tie dye shirts. I have dozens of tie dye shirts, but I have only bought one ready made tie dye shirt in my entire life. All of the rest I have done on my own.
By the way tie dye is not all that off topic in my opinion. A large percentage of longhairs wear tie dye.
the mentioned site wont ship to Taiwan... so I would need a fowarding agent.. perhaps u can help?
Tai Fu,
The young kids in my school used to do a tie-dye project in art class each year. They brought in individual boxes of powder or liquid clothing dye purchased at the grocery store and mixed up a bucket of each color. This would be a lot of dye for just one shirt but I bet you could invite some friends over and everyone could make them.

http://www.ritdye.com/artoftiedye.aspI heard not to use RIT dyes for tie dying because the colors will wash off and it requires heat setting which is hard for a multi color job. They said to use a fiber reactive dye like proxon or something, because u can use it cold... but its not something that can be found at supermarkets. However most ebay seller will ship those worldwide, just cant say the same of white T shirts...
The art teacher sent a note home with the kids after they made their shirt that instructed them to let it dry in the sun and then put it in the clothes dryer when the dyed shirt is already dry. I guess that worked as a heat setting. Most of the kids didn't have a spare t-shirt for the project so many brought in white undershirts which worked just as well.
