hey just lettin you guys know that i got a trim today.
the hairdresser does my mums hair all the time so she was really nice. i explained the situation and she cut off the split ends at the back and took off about 2-3cm all over. i believe it was worth it becuase my hair looks and feels better than it has in ages!!!!
That's good you liked the results. =)
Make sure and let us know how thing are in a few days.
I find it very hard to believe that you already have split ends in such a short time of growing your hair out. You really shouldn't have any for a while, assuming you take good care of your hair and condition etc. I have some split-ends myself but they aren't bad enough yet to be a problem so i will leave them. If you want max length so you can be a long hair ASAP you gotta resist the temptation of getting your systematic haircuts, which you have been getting for your whole life, and just leave it to grow.
If you hair feels and looks better than all the better. Just keep in mind what i said.
yes i definately had split ends. and no before i decided to grow my hair i had no care for it at all and the ends where dry and ragged. ill not get another trim till ive got at least shoulder length i only cut it this time becuase it was tangleing and prematurely split becuase of my poor care..................BTW is there any particular way thats good for drying your hair without damageing it too much??
I also had a stupid amount of split ends at a fairly early stage from doing nearly everything wrong. Here are a few tips:
When combing, detangle first with your fingers, starting from the ends, then gradually work your way up to the top.
Use conditioner on the ends. Don't wash the ends too much.
Wrap a towel around your hair to dry it.
Don't use hairspray or high-strength products.
thanks....i tihnk my vicious toweling and sleeping with wet hair might have been that did the most damage
The man gives good advice and a trim so early!!!
