Since ive been on this board, a lot of people have asked about trims to take away split ends and how to prevent split ends. To me, split ends have never been a problem at all. I will condition my hair and dry my hair in a way that works for my hair to prevent split ends but if I get split ends, I wouldnt get a trim as I personally dont care about them and dont see them as a problem. I once did get a trim on my previous hair growth attempt and my hair felt too neat after the trim. This time around ive never had a trim and im into 7 months. Ive never liked any hair that is too neat, I prefer the messy look a lot and hopefully in 6 months I will have reached my goal and that is to have hair similar to kurt cobain's. He isnt my idol and Im not a Nirvana fanatic but I love how his hair has that rough look to it. What do you guys think on the messy long hair look and the tidier long hair look? (sorry i cant think of any examples of any famous people with the tidier long hair look lol) and do split ends concern you?
Lol, it seems my vision of a perfect hair is just so diferent from yours... My perfect hair (and the reason/goal why I'm growing mine) is a long long (butt lenght) hair with the ends all ligned up.... for this reason I shall say that I am concerned about split ends, they are really a problem to long long aligned hair. Tough I also like the rocker long hair look that you are aiming for, I wish you good luck on achieving it =)

I am approaching 4 years growth and finally split ends are a major problem. But rather then trim I just tried to grow through and cut them out myself with a light and a pair of scissors seemed to get most of them.
