This is my second post here; last time I promised monthly updates, here it comes!
Though I should have reached the akward stage by now, I still feel quite comfortable; I'm really enjoying my new, longer hairstyle! Especially now during wintertime my longer hair keeps my ears warm :-)
It's true that some of my friends make funny comments ("Time for a haircut, don't you think?"), but I don't really care, as long as it feels good for me - and I does! :-)
Hairy regards to all of you, Alex

Hey man, keep growin it out! Disregard any statements regarding a haircut! :)
It sure is alot warmer too, that's another thing I like about hair.
Just wait til it gets down to your eyes--that's about when the awkward stage starts. Or even worse, when it was to my mouth.. it was annoying trying to eat without getting hair in my mouth, haha!
But if you wear glasses the hair might not bother your eyes as much, so that's a plus.
Keep it up!
lovin the hair man! the facial hair really completes it! you make me jealous (i have blonde hair so facial looks kinda stupid on me)
looks like your hair will make a nice pony when its longer too
keep it growin
I'm roughly at the same point you are, or maybe a little longer. I did recently get asked by a female colleague "When are you getting your hair cut?", to which I replied "When you get your head shaved." That's where the subject ended.
It's feeling good to me too. My hair is in good condition and is long enough to make me constantly aware it's there, as opposed to short hair that is generally unnoticable to it's owner unless you feel it with your hands or look in the mirror. It is in awkward stage #1 though, but I am patient with it.

Hi Alex. The hair is looking great already. Give it about another 8 months and then you will really start to reap the rewards of having longer hair(at one year of growth).
I do hope you keep growing. I hate to break your spirits but i am afraid the awkward stage has yet to begin. When your bangs start getting longer it may become problematic and so you will have to adopt certain styles/techniques to control your hair's unrulyness.
Do you have a desired/goal length?
Good luck!
Looking forward to that :-) No, honestly, I'm quite sure I'll be able to cope with that somehow. Fortunately, being a freelance musician, there's no boss or dressing rules I have to deal with. Okay, my band frequently plays corporate gigs, weddings, and other non-casual events, which demand a well-kept look that doesn't attract too much attention - but luckily wearing caps or hats is still a generally accepted option for a musician :-)
Mmh, not sure about this, maybe shoulder length or a bit shorter? I'm not sure if a pony-tail suits me well, never had one... And some people even look great when remaining in "Bad-Hair Phase, Stage 4: The Ponytail", having their bangs behind their ears or hanging down, don't you think?
Looking great Alex!
Before you know it, it will be shoulder length.

Nice job Alex.........and a great attitude about it all.
It is the guys like yourself that usually make it to being a longhair. Attitude and being yourself I think account largely for success.
Good luck with continued growth.
