6 years or about 30 inches total lenght pic. For reference, cause my t-shirt is pretty long, elbow level = waist level.
I'll still be growing it longer.
Sara
you must have long upper arms... my elbows reach the bottom of my ribs... anyways, the hair looks really good!
I have a rather small upper body I guess. But yes my elbows equal about my navel level...where my pants should fit (but don't cause they're too large), eventually I'll have pants that fit, this be the smallest ones I could find in adult size where I shopped (size 26 waist).
I'm rather average height (5'7"), but somewhat skinny, so it contrasts.
Gosh, you must have long legs then. I thought you were a small dude. The t-shirt is rather misleading because it distorts perceptions of the point at which your waist starts. Where is Absalom when you need him?
Methinks this might be a dudette as one of the posts by this individual was signed "Sara".
What could be misleading is that I originally joined the board years ago as "Janus", and changed only about last year to "Schala" (posting name). But yes I rather be referred to as a girl than as a guy.
Consider being a transsexual as simply being psychologically intersexed, meaning the body is wrong and it's just *that*. Some psychologists and psychiatrists go as far as making this and homosexuality being considered as "pathologies" that can be cured, more often than not using plain brainwashing and coercive methods to "cure" patients of their real personality and make them "normal"...only to induce suicide or heavy depression later in their life (because the doctors and parents, involved in the brainwashing-treatment show you, in an adamant manner than being-you is inherently bad).
Yes I guess my t-shirts do that...at one point this was a desired effect, now not so much.
See I was trying to fight the perception of being considered a girl at some point, but now it is exactly what I seek. The hair being only a bonus I guess. My waist has always been about this small and in my younger years (teens) I used to be shorter/thinner than everyone else.
My proportions are rather small, this was intended I think (as they varies little over the years). I didn't really go for a big of a muscled body at any point in life and always favored a small stature. This did get me intro trouble, but now is mostly a point for me rather than against me.
My waist is about a bit less than 25 inches, the pants fit a waist of 26, so they drop to hips a bit (but they really are made to fit at waist). But trying to find a lower-than-26 size was an ordeal in itself without going to kids departments.
As I have said before (some months before); I am a male-to-female transsexual, yet to be on hormones. I have only fully known and accepted my condition as of last year (almost a complete year now) (and I'm 23 now). It has little to do with my hair, as I didn't want hair to be feminine, but rather because I liked it on it's own. Proof is that I got my hair to mid-back before even seriously considering being transsexual (It didn't affect my stance on it). Long hair I guess is a bonus to being thought of as a girl in my case (along with my other features), but I do like my hair on it's own.
In high school I was shorter than everyone else, and puberty only *started* to kick-in at 16. My weight has always been under-average, but I can't say if I was consciously maintaining it back then.
This might be a bit off-topic, but I retrieved information that, at 8½ years old (3rd grade elementary), my height was exactly 4"0' and weight 50 lbs. My height didn't change up to 4th grade and I didn't reach 5'0" until I was 15 or 16 (while everyone else was pretty much above it by a fair margin). Now I reached 5'7" a bit later than that (17 maybe) and secondary sex characteristics have been slow to appear (no facial hair 'til 20), not that I mind it. My hair has always been longish in school, but never past shoulders. I only started to grow it after high school, with the intent of not cutting it for anyone besides myself.
I really did start to grow it after cutting it rather short in summer 1999, but it got cut a fair bit in summer 2000 (a real cut, some 3-4 inches), a slight trim in summer 2004 (1/2 to 1 inch) and a slight trim in autumn 2005 (1/2 inch). See why I can't say exactly how old it is? It's approaching 7 years old, but not in terms of lenght because it was cut. It's also rather wavy, which can be misleading on total lenght...the lower it gets the curlier it gets.
Oh , that's ok. The board is a very open place and everyone is open minded here. I have nothing bad to say. As long as you are happy in life. Because this is a mens long hair site it might cause some confusion to others so they might need clarification, like i did. Anyways take care and do keep growing. I'm not tall either, 5"7 and 52 kg.
I am also same height(5'7) and ive stopped growing...and im also 51kg, :D
Congratulations on having such nice hair :)
By the way, waist isn't where you have your belt (not with most pants nowadays, anyway). My elbow is also just above my waist.
Waist is where *those* pants should have a belt (couldn't find a right-sized belt), those pants are made to fit at waist, they just don't cause they're a bit big for my waist I guess.
Well, you can't see the top of your pants anyway.
It was more an explanation to those who believe that belt = waist when most pants I've seen in the past 5 years are lower.
