new thread
I had something very cool..at least for me...happen today when i first woke up. I have been growing my hair long for about a year and a half now and am planning on growing it down to my butt. I woke up this morning with my curls totally in my eyes. I had not noticed that they had gotten that long. I enjoyed throwing my hair back to keep them out of my eyes and then having it fall back in my face. I have to admit, I felt sexy doing that. Does anyone else who has long hair or is growing their hair like playing with their hair?
The first (and 2nd) time I noticed that my hair was getting in my eyes was a huge milestone for me. Since my overall goal is pretty much the same as yours, it was a great experience pulling my hair out of my face for the first time! It was the first of many, many times I might add. :)
One of the not so cool but odd things I'm learning while growing out is the new (to me) interplay between longish hair (bangs just below my mouth) and eating. Now I have to watch I don't get a little food in my hair and vice versa while eating. A new experience for me, I must be going in the right direction :)
A problem with hair and eating is that a few hairs from just above my temples will cross my face and end up in my mouth! I've gotten in the habit of finger combing all hairs and make sure everything tucked behind my ears before eating. It makes the food taste better! :)

I play with my hair all the time. My most recent milestone was the point where my hair was long anough that it would naturally rest in front of my shoulders. Right now it is a little above my nipples. Often when I'm sitting around I play with my curls that rest on my chest. It's a great feeling... the novelty of long hair has still not left. :)
