Just noticed your new avatar while reading your reply to brazjol's post. The change in the beard is astounding. Looks good.
Jim
Thanks Jim!
About 10 months worth of whiskers now

That´s an amazing beard... wish I could have one just like that!
Have you thought about separating it in two halfs and tying each with a small hair tie? I´ve seen people with that style, and it looks awesome... you should try it!
Take care!
Thanks. I've played around with small tails or braids in it, but don't quite like the feel of them pulling on my chin.
It will be interesting to see what your genetics has in store for you in the coming years...

That is definately a great, mighty beard you have, Oren.
A great avatar update indeed.
Thanks Jean!
I reckoned is was about time to update that thing.

Wow...you have a fast-growing beard!!! Looking good!
Thanks - It seems to be about 0.6 inches (1.35 cm) per month. The same as my hair.

I have always wondered if beard hair grew at exactly the same rate
as scalp hair?
Has anyone ever answered that question--scientifically, that is?
I think mine grows slower than my hair on my head.
It's been growing for around 3 months, and it's around 2-3cm's long. I think that's slower than my hair anyway.
This here is how mine was after 1 year without cutting:
My hair had grown a lot more in that same period.
...maybe you are correct--for YOU, anyway.
Everyone is different of course. I wonder if some scientist has ever answered the question of: which grows faster?
Facial hair takes forever (with a few exceptions) when we are young. It will pick up speed eventually.
Genetics is a factor, too. People of Asian, American Indian, or Inuit (eskimo) ancestry tend to have very little facial hair.
