Okay. I hear that your hair is weakest when it's wet.
For pretty much as long as I've had my hair past my chin, when I got out of the shower I would gently comb my hair out. And air dry it of course, I never use blow dryers or any of that junk.
So is that bad or something? And how is hair "weaker" when it's wet? I only seem to lose a few hairs when I do this, maybe 5 at the very very most on a bad day. They don't seem to snap too easy either, so I'm not sure if the strand of hair is weaker or the root, or what. Just wondering.
Yes, it is.
Combing is fine, just avoid brushing while wet. do it sometimes aswell on my curls to get out knots and snags. it depends on the individual and what works best for them. Just ask Justin about that, lol. You are doing everything right.
5 hairs is negligable. That is really a very low shed rate whilst brushing. I can get hundreds sometimes so this is why i don't brush my hair much. You must have strong healthy roots and it is obvious that you are brushing correctly and very gently since you aren't loosing much hair and getting snagged.
Hair is more vulnerable to breakage(sheddding) whilst wet because the roots of the hair follicies are weakened.
