Pics aren't that great but its all I have right now =\ still learning how to post pics so I dunno if it will come out right either lol...My last haircut I just had it all cut even length at the bottom. I'm kind of bored of it being like that so I was wondering what else I could do. I'm willing to cut it shorter but I don't think I want my bangs any shorter than to my nose!
I was thinking of shortening up the back some and cutting the rest of my hair to match that length or setting the length in front to around my nose then making it progressively shorter to the back....I don't know!!
What is layered? I am still not sure exactly what that is. Oh well I'm just posting this for any suggestions on a diff style of haircut. After I get it cut I will probably highlight it, too. Not sure what colors or if highlights, maybe a stripe.
Hi dear:
I think that your hair is nice. I like it.
Now I´m growing my hair, I hope to get the lenght you have. Anyway I think anyhaircut suit you, so don´t worry about it, I like as it´s now, but If you want to change, go for it, if you don´t like, don´t worry in some months it will be back again.
Best regard.
Antonio
Thanks for the replies guys! I like the idea of that hairstyle, foppy. I think I'll give it a shot and see how it looks. It's amazing how a slight cut in length in one part can look differently...Right now without any products in my hair, my hair is about 1 1/2 inches past my chin. When styled it appears shorter because it's not being stretched to it's max length.
Whatever I do, I'll post it here when I get it done!
Hi
Layering is when top layers of the hair are cut shorter than the bottom layers (generally speaking). They can add more "movement" to thick hair. However one-length hair is supposedly easier to care for. In my experience, layers can be a bit hit-and-miss - it looks okay to start with, but once they grow out, they can make the hair an odd shape, meaning more maintenance.
hope that helped...
I think a style similar to that would look cool, but that sounds too short. If you waited until the bangs grew to chin-length, and trimmed the back so it would be just a little shorter than the front (not like a reverse-mullet), IMO it would be better-looking.
You're right, you do need to find a good style for your hair. It just kinda sits flat and looks a bit wierd, doesn't compliment your face at all. My hair is about the length of yours too. You should go to a salon and flip through some books/magazines to find a style you like and get them to cut and style to how you want it. This is probably the best thing to do as i can tell you aren't after extemely long hair, just a medium length style. However, if you just left your hair to grow a bit more it should start looking better and less awkward with added length. Entirely up to you.
Yeah I'm not after the really long hair route. Right now it almost reaches my shoulders and this would be the longest length i'd go for. I used to have my hair really long, then I cut it! I felt a need for a change, so I did it, then I missed it after like a year of short hair, so I grew it back again. So here I am.
I have a hard time with hairstyle mags cause what style looks good on one person could look horrible on me! It's hard to find something that would look good on you. I believe that we see ourselves differently than how we really look, which is why I'm asking other people suggestions.
I also debated shaving it all off, but my girl says otherwise cause she likes the long hair. I do, too but we all have those moments when you're like arghhh
But yeah, thanks for the input and anymore is welcome! Does anyone know of a decent site with lots of hairstyles? I think i'd have to find one with my hairtype, too. My hair isn't super thick, curly, wavy. It's pretty straight and thin, also gets oily quickly. I think I need to change my shampoo/conditioner out.
Hi Sjafi,
I like the way you look on these pictures - I think it doesn't look bad at all. However, to have more options, you'd definitely need more length. Don't rush to have it cut in a different way. I personally wouldn't go for layering, because that would make your hair look thinner - and probably not more curly or wavy.
I think what you can do is grow it for another, say, six months, and then maybe have it shortened in the back - to the same level as your bangs. That might look cool, to see how your hair swings around when you turn your head!
However, even if you don't do anything at all - it looks perfect to me as it is. In any case, relax and have fun, you have all reason to feel good about your hair.
Best wishes,
Hans-Uwe
