my opinion theres a few types of long hair guys. iwant to say 3
1. decides to grow it out bcuz they wanna see how it feels to have it long. it looks "cool" and shortly after a year or so they cut. i meet i few ppl like that
2.To Follow the rockstar look. not thing wrong w/ that .and just grow it for that reason which in my case that fits only like 25% of the reason why am still growing
3.Were born to be this way.we choose to be seperate in our own unique ways not givin a dam what society things and just away to show the world that were difrent inside and probably the most of use have always wanted long hair since we where small i know i did remmeber not likeing getting haircuts and got mad wen i did ..i just wanted to have long hair
in my point of you what do you think?
2 and 3 for me 2 definately pushed me over the edge becuase i didnt like long hair b4 (the only longhair i knew was our neighbors son who was a drug addict who used to steal our newspapers and my bike once....wierd eh) i got into metal altho the person whos influenced me the most is john fruciante....i feel i can relate to him
Number 3 here. :-)
I always wanted hair like kurt cobain... but thats faded a bit because as its grew... im just lovin longer hair a lot! and dont care if itslike kurt cobains hair or not... i always wanted to grow it out.. straighten it... have it cut and colored to look like kurt cobains hair but like i said... my hairs so straight anyway and i love having my own unique long hair! as each month passes, my god im gettin happier and happier and the awkward stage for me is juuuust about over and i only been growin for 7 months... 3 more months and ill be so god damn happy that it will look long even if it will probably only just be level with the bottom of my nose... mainly i didnt like short hair because it didnt feel like me and i hated it! i felt rough too, like i was a hard person as my forearms are covered in tattoos... but my tattoos are all drew and designed by myself and other tattoos are like that too... people ask me what my tattoos mean to me and try to lecture me about how tattoos are pointless if they dont have any personal meaning... it gets to me as they dont bother stop to listen to me tell them this is my own art on my body, things ive sat and drew that have meaning to me as i was probably either depressed or happy at the time i drew them so they show what ive been through. Sorry went off topic here lol but long hair is definatlybetter as i dont look like some thug now... even without tattoos id think id look thuggish with short hair and would definelty still have grown hair out lol
ahhhh yes nirvana was a bright spark in the otherwise stale pop culture of the 90's. think of how great music would be if he where still around.
i liked his hair best when he had it that reddish colour.......dunno why.
Well, Imo...
Cobain didn't have healthy hair, nor was it very long anyway..
And if he was still around, I don't think music would be much different. Again, imo, I don't think he contributed much, if anything, to music, except for inspiring a slew of other talentless bands to play the music that they feel (grunge and nu metal... which happens to be about hate and sadness? hmmmm) and therefore, take over the "mainstream music" scene with their lame acts...
On a kinder note, I guess it's just hard to relate to such music when the musicality/talent is simply nonexistant, and the lyrics aren't anything interesting, important, or uplifting.
#3 btw. :)
i tihnk kurt would be pretty pisse doff if he saw "nu-metal" i agree its scum
kurts lyrics i tihnk are very inspired...they take a bit to understand but i like to think i understand his wierd way of thinking becuase im left handed too and i can definately see a difference in the way things come out.
I'm left handed too. Yay.
In 1994 there was no such thing as the term "nu metal" so I don't think he'd really understand anyway.
