Hi everyone,I found your board and have a question for anyone willing to help me out,I cut my hair yesterday and I had it a little longer than shoulder length,I have it kind of short now but I completely regret having cut it,I had it cut because the day before cutting it short went to get a trim and the hairdresser butchered my hair so the next day I had to cut it short,I had it long for about a year or 2 and am totally sad that I cut it,do you guys have any idea how long it would take to grow it as long as the dude in the picture im posting,I know you cant give me an exzct amount of time but and personal experience you guys have had could help,I dont really remember how long it took me to get that far,the only difference is that my hair is a bit straighter
I'd guess a year or so, depends on your growth rate.
on average, hair only grows about .5 inches per month.
if you want shoulder length hair, that will take about 18 months to 2 years...maybe longer if your hair grows slower than the normal rate.
i think that if u want shoulder length hair u must wait 3 years for it to grow including trims
For the bangs (not just the back hair) to reach shoulder-length, that's around 2 years, and may I add that your hair looked awesome on you. Totally suited your face. Good luck with the regrowing.
I hate hair cutters
Ace looks to have about 7-8 inches of hair, so approximately 14-18 months less the length that you have now after the cut considering a growth rate of 1/2 inch per month. If your hair is straighter than his, then you will show length quicker of course.
He does have kind of a cool style, doesn't he? I don't think he will win Idol though.
Good luck, and next time, stay away from anyone with scissors unless you tell them you just want a trim, if indeed it is long hair that you want.
Thanks for the help guys,yeah,it remember it took me about a year but I am going to make sure not to get any haircuts at all anymore,hairdressers cant even trim it without ruining it,I didnt completely shave my head but I did get a kind of short haircut,Im gonna make sure not to get any haircuts,not even trims just so the hairdresser doesnt mess up,thanks again guys

sorry to learn what had happened to you, and it's good to see that you take courage again. Your hair will grow back quickly, and this nasty "salon" (should I say "barber" or "butcher"?) won't be but an episode in your life as a longhair.
I have to admit that I'm a bit paranoid about salons, because I know of several accidents like the one you suffered. This is why, hopefully for the benefit of many lurkers, I urge any male longhair who wants "just a trim" to consult other long-haired males who had benn to that salon.

Thanks man,hopefully it will grow back soon,and I am sure im not going to get it cut ever again,not even maintenance cuts,I miss my hair,hopefully ill be a long haired dude again in no time.
