do anyone know how to tame frizzy hair with lots of flyaways? This almost always happen to me after i shampoo my hair, it's much better the day after or when i'm using leave-in treatment.
And will the hair get straighter and less frizzy the longer it gets?
after you have washed your hair and it is semi-dry, massage your hair with some shea butter and it'll reduce the amount of frizz in your hair greatly. then comb and brush your hair and it'll remove the loose hairs. your head should feel revitalized afterwards
and yes, that is true.
I have a similar problem with my own hair. My hair is long, curly, and quite thin, which leads to a lot of flyaways and frizzies. What I do to counter the problem is use a good moisturizing conditioner, follow up with a good leave-in, and then (and this is what really works for me) I use a spray-on hair polisher. I found mine at Wal*Mart in the ethnic haircare aisle, there's quite a few brands available, I chose Smooth n' Shine.
I usually have to use a lot of product to get any result, since my hair's so long, but with the polisher I only use 1-2 sprays on the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, then run my hands over damp hair to kill the frizz and add a TON of shine. Usually I'll add a bit more after I dry my hair to help my curls form into smooth, soft ringlets.
It's one of the better things I've tried, as it helps to kill frizz, add shine, and prevent tangles. In addition to a good conditioner and leave-in it's created a result that's actually gotten a few compliments on my hair (something I'd been missing since my hair started thinning and looking more dull and fuzzy).
Not saying it's for everyone, but it worked for me, and I know that some guys that wear hairpieces also really like it for helping to make their natural hair as shiny and smooth as the hairpiece hair.
If you end up tring it out I'd love to hear your reactions to the product.
It will get straighter and less frizzy as it gets longer, yes, but I think you might be shampooing too long, since shampooing is what often causes hair to be dry. Perhaps you should try conditioning your hair right after you shampoo, or before it and then after it as well. And maybe condition it the day after, too.
Maybe you're also brushing your hair too much? Brushing can cause frizz, too, or at least on curly hair, anyway. I looked like a deranged serial killer escapee clown when I used to brush my hair. :P
