Not that I am expecting anyone has an answer to this but while writing another post I got to wondering how it is that people seem to lose their length maximum as they age yet at the same time men have their ear, nose, and eyebrow hair *gain* terminal length? Wouldn't it seem reasonable for whatever gives that length kick to the eyerows and such to do the same for the scalp hair?

Hi there,
Talking of lengths I mean't to ask you before as to how long you hair is now as you can't see from the picture and you've seem mine.

Show me yours and I'll show you mine, John? ;-)
Okay, I don't think I posted a length shot here after our DC get together so here it is- Chris G, me, and Steve NoVA. Unbraided my hair has tippy ends about three inches from my ankle.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for the picure and lovely to see 3 longhairs in one place. Wow you hair is certainly long and do keep it growing and that's certainly way beyond classic length. Just shows you what anyone can achieve and thanks again.

Well 2 and a 1/2 anyway :)
This is a GREAT shot of all 3 of you, Elizabeth!!! But, I am especially impressed with how long your hair is: I had absolutely NO idea your hair was THAT long (not to also mention GORGEOUS)!!!!
DON'T YOU DARE EVER CUT IT!!!!!!!

...great pic!

Hi Elizabeth, my hair has been quite stable for the last 2 years at least. The photo is me 2 years ago at 51 tears old, and today it is hard to tell if I have gained length. I have nothing to compare with, since my hair was always less than shoulder length up to about age 39. My theory: If you eat an increasingly healthy diet as you age, terminal length may decrease little or not at all. BTW your hair looks great. Long hair forever.

Good point. Many guys develop more body hair as they age also. The hair seems to get redistributed.
