Is anyone here planning on going to the New England Metalfest in Worcester, MA this year? If I go, I'll be going on Saturday April 29 to see the following:
100 Demons, Arch Enemy, At All Cost, Caliban, Chimaira, Colin Of Arabia, Cryptopsy, Damnation AD, Death Threat, Embrace The End, Exodus, First Blood, Full Blown Chaos, God Forbid, Hate Eternal, Immolation, Into The Moat, Ion Dissonance, Overcast, Ramallah, Remembering Never, Righteous Jams, Scars Of Tomorrow, Shoot To Kill, Since The Flood, Skinless, Spitfire, Suffocation, Sworn Enemy, Terror, The Acacia Strain, The Classic Struggle, The JonBenet, Turmoil
Hate Eternal is my favorite Death Metal band, and this is pretty much my only oppurtunity to see them live on their US tour... I'll probably also be going to the Behemoth/Krisiun/Morbid Angel show on April 8th same location...

That looks awesome. So many great metal bands playing. You will have alot of fun. JohnB, are you gonna be there taking snaps?
Whoa those are some of my favorite bands...my favorite Genre is Black Metal(Melodic, Opera/metal), but i also like few death metal bands like Hate Eternal and Ablaze my Sorrow...and few others. Hate Eternal is also one of my top favorites, probably next to Nightwish, After Forever, Akercocke, Altaria, Asrai, Amaran, and few other European bands.
i also love Cryptopsy, and Skinless is another one i like...

Good Lord that's a hell of a lineup. Despite that, the last time I went to an extreme metal 'fest' (which only lasted 6 hours, but had a few stages), I got bored quite quickly due to the indecipherable noise.
American fans receive such awesome lineups. Normally when the big bands pass through England the majority of times, they have boring support acts. That Morbid Angel show should be awesome too, if they avoid Heretic at least....I'd pay money to see just 'Where The Slime Live' live.
When's your Emperor show Ardroth?
And, to JohnB, did you receive either of my emails? Will you be in attendance at Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic this summer?
Matt
Hey there,
Nope I didn't get your e-mail mate but I'll be going to Wacken and it would like to do alot more festivals but it's the usual watching the cashflow etc and I've got a friend from Milwaukee coming in for Wacken anyway.

sucks to be in Taiwan, metal concerts are few, and if any happened ticket prices were outrageous (but they do sell out quick) most concerts in Taiwan are those yucky pop concerts, and if you heard one you heard them all.
whoa awsome lineup!!!!
crytopsy!!!! Arch enemy, chimaira and god forbid all in one show
sounds quite moshtastic
Dude, that show sounds intense. Worcester is only 45 minutes away for me - I'm there! We should meet...
Hi Ardroth,
Oh I wish I could come to that one but I've made plans to visit some friends in Finland for "May Day or Vappu" celebration that weekend and catch up with some of the bands in Helsinki. Only 40 pounds via Ryanair from UK to Tampere in Finland. We can't do everything.
It certainly sounds like a great line-up for sure. I working with another promoter friend here getting Hate Eternal to play over there in the UK as they cancelled their last tour here. Sometime in July I hope.
Great to see you getting all these great bands coming through. The fesival I went to in Minneapolis in December was fun and cold!!

Hi ardroth, i'm michael, i am probably gunna go to the metalfest in worcester on april 29th. My favorites i am dyin' to see are sworn enemy, nevermore (you left them out! ;) j/k), and arch enemy. Dude, i was gonna grow my hair out like you but i have finally realized i just wouldn't look good, my hair would grow out like an afro rather than be metal like yours. I shave my head now down to the skin cuz i can't just have a normal haircut, i need something metal too.
