Hi all - just stumbled across this site today as i was looking for tips on growing long hair. My hair was quite short 9 months ago and im hoping to grow it just to shoulder length, achieving a sort of Kurt Russell look in the film Escape from New York (i know that sounds a bit ridiculous!)
Anyway I was wondering does it help keeping it in shape by getting it trimmed or styled, or should i just use hair products? Any help appreciated!
If you want to get that look, the fastest way to the length is to just let it grow without trims. When reaching the length that you desire then look into a trim. But, be careful who does it as there are a number of butchers out there. For now shampoo and use plenty of conditioner. Good luck in reaching your goal.
Thanks! Ive never used conditioner before - i must buy some!
Hi, Nice looking hair. But your hair seems too short for 9 months. Have you been having a lot of trims? If so, I would suggest not to have anymore as they set you back. GOod luck.
Cheers!

Hey, You dont look old mate. Not to worry. Probably the picture isnt just showing the length. However, Cool hair. Good luck.

Welcome aboard Pablo,
It looks like you're off to a good start. I wouldn't worry about any trims until you reach your desired length. Treat your hair as you would a fine wool sweater and it will stay in good shape.

Wow! thats a lot of horror!! I love the old Hammer horror films with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Have also quite a lot of Vincent Price movies too. I'm not so keen on modern horrors tho - too much emphasis on gore and special effects - bring back atmosphere!!
Pablo if your intrested in talking about movies YOU CAN POST though the board ok
