That's just sick and wrong. Funny in a demented sort of way, but sick and wrong. It's like Lo cks of Loves gone personal.
I have never seen anything like this in my life.
The product of some sick minded people who have a disturbing fetish for cutting very long hair off.
All these women have such beautiful waist length manes, how can they sell their hair(and dignity) for such an unworthy cause?
At the moment there is a fundraiser for kids with Cancer - "The World's Greatest Shave", that is for a good cause, but this is just sick.
I guess people do anything for money, don't they?
Most people would tell me "it's just hair dude, get over it, it will grow back geez!". It's more than just the hair, it's the stripping away of dignity from the individual. The sick people video record the process of you having the haircut and who knows what other things they would do or what other fantasies they would fulfil.
I find this really gross and peverting, as well as sick and disturbing. I think it should be illegal.
These days, people would sell their soul if the price is right. Just wrong!
i also would never do that and they have really great hair but what if they want to cut their hair NOT because of the money ?
what if they have already cut it or will cut it even if they don't get any money for it ?
sending it to the trashcan where it uses no one or sell/donate to people who become happier with it ?

i've heard about people with dreadlocks, who use 'foreign-hair' (not their own) to crochet them into their dreads to increase the dread's thickness or length ...
(or maybe use another hair colour to make the dread multi-coloured - i don't know)
if it makes the buying person happier - why not ?

I have been approached by people wanting to buy my hair on more than one occasion. I have always turned them down.
As for the above website, I think is really sad. I am sure that it fulfills the sick desires of haircut fetishists.

Hello everyone,
I have been approached at times by people proposing that I can make a bundle of money selling my hair, especially before the grey streaks started to set in. I felt that it was sick, I am not merchendise and no part of me is for sale.
As for wigs, I wonder why no synthetic wigs have the feel of human hair. If I had to use a wig, esp: a short wig for work, since I do not expect people to touch my hair, I would be quite pleased with a synthetic wig. By looking one cannot tell the difference, but one can tell by touch. I have a problem with the idea that some desperate person had to sell his or her hair.
One guy I knew with a baldness problem used a long human hair wig, the hair came from China, where desperate women may sell their hair for lack of money.
And now, a market place for selling hair, like wool is sold in a New Zealand sheep auction... that gives me the creeps. Business is business as they say ;)

You are a human being and entittled to your own free will and liberty. It is sad but many women are forced to cut their hair in these situations, just to make ends meet and feed their families. That is where these hair fetishers find their vulnerable prey. When people need $$$ desperately they will go to extreme measures to obtain it, even if that means cutting off their long hair, a part of their identity.
I've never been able to understand why haircutting is a fetish.
It's sickening to see some long haired boys and men shave their heads for cancer. Just looking at some of the idiots who stripped away their identity for St. Baldricks in the name of a "good cause" (for cancer research) turns my stomach. Penn State had their Dance-a-thon (THON) and they raised MORE MONEY for cancer than St. Baldricks did shaving heads.
