Hey, dudes, I've meant to update my progress for months now, but I've been having insane camera problems (it kinda sucks when someone steals your USB cable and then dents the slot of the new one you buy). Well, mishaps aside, I've been growing my hair now for about 16 months, more or less the same as 80's metal.
Some of these pics are from today, and others are a few weeks old. I don't think any do justice to what my hair really looks like at all, but it gives you an idea. My hair is a lot neater/healthier than some of the pics would make it appear.

mmmmmmm...hanging ringlets. It looks AWESOME.
You're going to be a 'hair god' with another 20-30 inches of length! Imagine long hanging, curly ringlets falling down to your waist...your ultimate goal. Very nice.
grrr i hate you both because your curls are bigger and heavier than mine lol mine make me look like the Ethiopians i showed you lol

BTW, when your hair is wet the curls 'relax' and stretch out more. I think my own hair has a close resemblance to this pic.
However, once your hair dries the curls do become more defined and form hanging ringlets and spirals(which looks ultra cool).
You have shiny, curly hair...and the longer it gets the better it will look.
If it attracts too much attention that way, then definitely put it into a tail.

v.impressive...I like the way the curls sort of travel down directly rather than going wild...a fast improvement on your avatar pic. Looks like you'll have no prob growing it longer...
Thanks! They've only recently started to really grow downwards instead of up and out. It's a heck of a lot easier to handle nowadays.
Dude, I think your hair looks VERY healthy in these pics! I just love the ringlets. Hehe, they must be fun to doodle with - pulling them out and then watching them reshape themselves.

Thanks a lot, man! And lol, yes, it's very fun. They like to bounce up and down like little springs, and some of the more elaborate ones are like little slinkies, lol.

Your hair is sure getting longer and those hanging ringlets are starting to become visible. I love the spirals and ringlets, gonna be great in another few years of growth when they hang down your chest length and look cool.
You are the epitome of curly hair. My hair , although curly, is alot straighter at the top and doesn't get those big ringlet curls all that much. Glad to see that you are sticking with this, just as i am. Not much frizz , your hair looks ultra healhy with your new regime. Congratulations and thanks for posting this long awaited update. That is some very sweet looking hair that you have grown.
I really like the ringlets the way they all hang all in perfect helices. I imagine you have had a tough time actually up to now, but I hope the hair care is getting easier as the length increases.
Looks great right now, and some added length will just increase the cool factor exponentially.

I think that your hair absolutely rules and is coming along great. As a fan of extreme lengths of hair, I would suggest that you grow it as long as you can as it looks fantastic.

Nah. I've imagined what it might look like, but that's as far as I'll go. Straightening could damage my hair, and it's been hard enough to grow this far without having to start over or redo any bit of it because I messed up my hair.
It'd be pretty long, though, if it were straight. My bangs reach halfway down my neck when stretched, and my lower neck hairs are below my shoulders.

Looks awesome man! Those hanging ringlets or "tubes" as I call them are priceless. You are going to love them the longer they get. The other day I had one that was over a foot long.
