My hair is incredibly messy in the morning. Is it advisable to tie your hair when sleeping? I'm just wondering if it help to make the hair more managable. I've grown my hair 7 months and its really time consuming in the morning to make it presetable for work. Unless anyone else has any tips?
Take your shower before work and while the hair is wet it is very manageable.
I know it sounds a bit funny but perhaps (because of the stage you are in at present) somehow wrapping a thin piece of fabric around your head? Otherwise, I don't know of anything as your hair is still a bit too short. But there IS light at the end of the tunnel. (Trouble is it seems like it takes forever to reach it.) Just hang-in-there and you WILL make it. Best thing to do is just bite the bullet and not expect "nice perfect looking hair" while going through the Awkward Stage. We ALL had to go through this on our journey to long hair. But is it ever worth it!
Well, you could use gel, preferably a non-alcoholic kind, to slick back or at least tame your hair a bit. It might not look spectacular, but it can realllly help you save a ton of time.
You could also try experimenting with different sleeping positions/sides. I noticed that my hair is less messy when I sleep on the opposite side to the one I'm used to. It might be tough to get into, but give it a try.
I imagine you can just make a tiny ponytail in the back now; well, although it *could* help with messiness in the morning, I don't think it's a good idea to do. Your pony sounds like it's be pretty tight on your roots...
Like Justin said, you should just wait and tough it out. Gel can be your begrudging ally in this war. lol. Good luck!
Washing my hair usually takes care of it.
When I don't wash it, I usually just wear a hat.
Tying your hair in a segmented ponytail before bed should help keep it neater. If your hair's too short though, even one hair tie should help keep it under control.
Try this, it is something i do occasionally.
Tie your hair up in a ponytail but keep the tie near the neck and don't wrap the elastic. Leave it loose without tying it. It keeps your hair together and doesn't feel uncomfortable when you sleep.
i'm not sure if that'll work. he said it's only been 7 months. unless he already had about 7 months of growth prior to this (or unless his hair grows extra fast lol) he might not be able to do a ponytail
