Hey all been reading through some of the threads and seems like a nice community here. ^_^
anyways just wondering can anyone give me advice on how to grow long hair? Im totally new to it and right now its about mid-neck length when its all curled up. *id put a pic but my cam ran away* My hair is really curly and really frizzy once its dry. Its always been like that but sometimes i wonder if i damaged it, because some of my friends bout a year ago loved straightening it, and didnt really put anything in it to protect it. If it is, would that make my hair stop growing? cuz i havent really noticed a diffrence lately, but then again maybes its just curling up really tight if thats possible. Also whats the best way to keep hair like mine loose? I never really liked all the curls they make it seem shorter than it is and its hard to keep it from going every direction. Oh one more thing, I like to swim often ususally once a day, and usually when i get out my hair is in a bunch of clumpy locks, is their anyway i can get it to stop doing that or should i just brush it out once its dried a bit? any info be gr8 =D
Hi and welcome -
Since new to this one, of the best things you could do is go up to "links" and click on the finast write-up ever about growing-out hair............that being the 4 part thesis of Bill Choisser. This will tell you much.
Other than that, I can assure you that your hair IS growing, but with curly-type hair it isn't noticed as quickily as those having straighter hair. Nothing wrong with curly hair.....it looks fabulous!
Hope this helps as a start-off for you. It's a long haul, but it is WELL worth the wait. Just ask any longhair.
