I was just wondering whether it's a myth or fact whether the consumption of oily or fried foods such as chips increases scalp oils. I was eating some greasy chips before and wondering if this is true or not. Maybe i could an experiment where for a week the only thing i eat is greasy foods and hot chips and see what affect it has on my scalp oils , lol.
Actually 80s I fined this to be true but what I do know that a daily newspaper over here did do a survey on a guy eating food from McDonalds for a full week developed alot oh bad acne on his face due to eating the junk food so i suppose if you eat alot of fat food you do suffer by your complexsion & probably oily hair so it seem and the survey was true even though nothing was mentioned about the guys hair !
I hope this helps you mate

Well, correlation does not imply causality. This guy could simply be having an acne outbreak while he was eating at McDonalds, one cannot assume causality between the two.
The oil in our scalp is generated from glands; it isn't vegetable oil or anything like that from our diet. Oils are just hydrocarbon chains, they can be produced from anything from our diet, not just oil.
Therefore I do not think there will be a relation between the amount of oil you ingest and your scalp oils, unless there is an oil-gland stimulant, which I'm not familiar with (and doubt food oils contain).
i've been taking omega-3 for 3 weeks now. and i'm starting to notice in the amount of oil my scalp generates. i've also noticed that my hair is getting a bit shinier bc of it. hopefully the new growth will be shinier and heavier than the old growth lol
